GOOD SHEPHERD CATHOLIC CHURCH OFFICE OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
The Sacraments of the Church were instituted by Christ to allow his children to participate regularly in His Life of Grace. Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation are for those who are duly prepared. Families must show a faithfulness to this life of grace by actively participating in Sunday Mass in order for the student to understand the holiness and purpose of receiving the Sacrament. We are enthusiastic to help our parish families and community grow in the Love of God and understanding of His Holy Faith.
CATECHISM REGISTRATIONS FOR 2024-25 WILL OPEN ON JULY 1, 2024.
You MUST be registered parishioners to enroll your child in our program.
If this is your first year enrolling, (unless you are already registered in our online system), please register YOUR FAMILY as parishioners here prior to enrolling your child.
The Good Shepherd Catholic Church Catechism Program serves students from grades one through twelve, and ADULTS. For students who attend public school, we offer continuing catechesis each year that they are in school up until Confirmation. Sacrament preparation classes are taught for those who would like to receive Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation.
- Communion classes begin as early as 1st grade and is a two-year preparation.
- Confirmation classes begin in 7th grade and is a two-year preparation.
- Tuition is $165 per child / year, each additional sibling is $100 / year.
Registrations for 24-25 Catechism year will begin July 1. You will need:
- A digital copy of your child's baptism certificate to complete the registration process online.
- If your child is 7+ yrs and needs baptism, you will need to upload the completed BAPTISM APPLICATION packet in place of the Certificate.
Classes run from August 26 through May 15. Most grade levels are offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 6:30 - 7:45 pm.
Some grade levels/ classes will only be available on certain days.

Pre-Confirmation Classes are FULL. Please email angelica@gscatholic.org to be placed on a waiting list.
After Confirmation, we encourage our youth to attend one of our many YOUTH PROGRAMS.
